A Bourbon Street Mardi Gras B' Nai Mitzvah Spectacular! Candy Station, Ice Cream Station & Cake Pop Madness!!!

The Queen of OC Mitzvahs & Celebrations the fabulously lovely Ms. Beth Slavin called us in to create something spectacular for Grant & Vanessa's super fabtastic B'Nai Mitzvah at the Waterfront Hyatt Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. We created Mardi Gras madness that included a ton- o- candy, hundreds of Mardi Gras themed cake pops, an ice cream station, soda fountain and on and on..  Congratulations to these super cute OC kiddo's who got to celebrate such a special day with an amazing party and a big thank you to out beloved Ms. Beth who we love and adore because she's always believed in us and is a gem of a human being!

The Grandparents To The Candy Empire! No Shame In Their Game. CLEARLY, The Best $14.99 They Ever Spent!

Aren't they freakin' cute! The Silver Fox & his spicy Latina Mamacita Chiquita Banana! Georgie & Arci The grandparents to the candy empire who I have a bit of an un-healthy obsession with.  You see, some people would rather keep their parents at a distance, check in every now and then with a phone call but not in Candy Land. I don't really do to much without getting their opinions first because oddly I've realized at 32, they're almost always right.  I suppose my therapist, Dr. Issues may call this Co-dependancy but keeping it real, I  just need their approval because it validates my decisions and prevents me from being stupid. You see, I was blessed with two of the funniest, corny parents with ridiculous accents ( however, in their opinions they have no accents and in my opinion, they need subtitles )  Anyhow, this photo of my mom & dad was taken in a Super Market last weekend who had some $14.99 promo on old fashioned-ish pictures. The fact that my mom and dad got dressed up to take an awkward photo complete with weird giant antique phone and grape vines in a SUPER MARKET, makes me love them even more. While some would have never disclosed this stunning Picasso of a portrait was taken there, these two have no shame in their game. And if you think Grandma & Grandpa didn't include their beloved first grandchild on this priceless, once in a lifetime deal, WRONG. You see, the photo below is of Isabella- the Heiress To The Candy Empire and although it's evident that she was styled by some magical prop genius, I would have probably gone with another look for my kid. She's thinking," What The F-Bomb have they done to me this time!"  Hands down, this was the BEST $14.99 ever spent. I mean, the proof is in the pictures folks.  As if, you totally didn't figure that out on your own already!

My Baby Can Email, Fax, Type 40 WPM, Answer Phones in fake British accent, Do Our Online Banking, Sort Jelly Beans By Color  and... She Can't even walk yet! Top It You Perfect Mother Mafia's! I may still be learning to maneuver motherhood, but soon my kid may very well be city mayor and I'll get to retire sooner than I'd imagined and swing in a hammock in the backyard all day. A-M-B-I-T-I-O-N & Baby Geniuses are a beautiful thing!

Mindless Friday Purchase- A Custom Made Glittery Cotton Candy Cookie Jar!

We found a lady on-line who makes these custom ceramic things and fell in love with her quirky stuff. She called this a Glittery Cotton Candy Cookie Jar but it kinda looks like an Ice cream cone too, No? Anyhow- it's cute and like our graphics goddess Kristy of Posh Pixels says, "Make Life Cute" We're doing our part to do so and this is going to look Ridic-ballz cute in our new offices & showroom which we're prepping for the Grand Opening! So excited, so much freakin' work! I could barf, and us pregnant chicks do that ALOT! Thanks ceramic cookie jar maker lady in Clovis, Ca. Please pack with care and lots of bubble wrap, we'll die if this cracks.

Admitting it is the 1st Step so here we go... I Freaking LOVE you Michael Bolton! Love Is A Wonderful Thing...

He may have unexplainable luscious locks of man hair, play the air piano & look like the cover a steamy romance novel but one things for sure... Michael Bolton can SSS-ING it Baby! This song was often my therapy during the emotionally chaotic & often totally depressed for no reason at all days of my teenage years. ( Ok- why lie, during my twenties too!)  Love sure is a wonderful thing and thank GOD I've got a lot of it because in my opinion, without it, you'd be running on empty. And it doesn't matter if you have palettes of lollipops, gum drops and unicorns at your disposal. Like Michael says, " Love is a wonderful thing, makes you smile through the pouring rain!" Let's see how long this happy-filled blissful morning lasts- I'm sure I'll be annoyed with something or someone in no time but for now.. I'll just keep singing.

It's A 2FER Doozy Of A Celebratory Day In Candy Land! Break Out The Pinata's & Tissues Baby!

Hi Party peeps!

Today is most definitely a day for the Party People and if you are a member of my family then that is an understatement! 1 Year ago today my husband Mr. New York or Chris or Toby ( I know, a lotta nick-names) and I received the greatest gift we've ever known, Our daughter Isabella. All I know is that in a year full the controlled chaos that I choose to live in, this little precious girl ( who happens to have the silkiest, most ridiculously fabulous hair)  has brought more happiness, messes and amazingly nauseating lovy dovy tear jerker moments than any of us could have ever imagined. I get it now- the love for your child is something that is nearly impossible to sum up in words and I happen to really love using words but in this case the only thing that seems to flow out of me so freely and in massive quantities are... tears. Lots and lots of them. Today also represents the 36th wedding anniversary of my mom & dad, Georgie & Arcelia who are my best friends ( no joke, we only hang out with my parents these days!) they are my life's greatest teachers, supporters, examples of how to live life with all you've got, get over nonsense & forgive ( ok- i'm still clearly working on that one but trying, it's hard). So today as you can imagine, is a very celebratory day in Candy Land but the truth is, life is such a beautiful thing and we're in a constant state of celebration lately and that is how I hope for things to always be...

Our favorite client &  the most fabulous team at Hpnotiq recently launched their newest  flavor, Harmonie! It's D-Lish, Fruity, Refreshing and so purple! We lalalalove color and all things girly and Harmonie is just that! This fantastic event at Frederic Fekkai's world renowned salon in West Hollywood  was hosted the Buzz Girls who called this bash- Spring into Summer! Spa services galore, Harmonie cocktails and a fantastically harmonious candy & dessert bar topped off this super relaxing night of total girly bliss. Thanks to our team who pulls off miracles in under T minus 24 hrs on a weekly basis.
