After dropping out of college and getting fired from her first job, Jackie Sorkin had an idea: Candy makes people happy. Her dream was to recreate the magic of one of her favorite movies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, for other people. She started the catering and events business in her garage, and hassince expanded to add a product line and retail operation under the umbrella of Hollywood Candy Girls. She's a regular on the Food Network and the Cooking Channel; you might recognize her from the TLC show Candy Queen. Next, you'll see her spreading more happiness with candy art exhibitions that she first launched in Asia and will be bringing to the U.S. later this year. Sorkin describes how she created her dream life.
