We Heart Kailyn! She is a Candy Girl & CEO And She Can't Even Drive Yet!!!

I stumbled upon this video after seeing an episode of this great show I support called Biz Kids. They also have a website called www.bizkids.com. Kailyn reminds me a lot of well.. Me. When I was little I dreamt of creating  & running my very own business that would be something unique and cool and fabulously fun. I'll also admit that when I was 13 years old one of my best friends Heather and I thought we had developed something amazing when we started writing a business plan for our newest venture, a restaurant called" 101 ways to eat chicken" Sadly, this business venture never quite came to fruition due to the fact that we ran out of ways to make chicken and we could only come up with 20 or so. The point is, we tried and today we both work hard, we have lots to be proud of and plenty to be thankful for. I love seeing how savvy the next generation of kids are! You GO Kailyn, and you rock that candy biz!

We received a phone call from Miami and it was the lovely Gina of Relish by GT. Gina is a well known Swarovski Crystal Embellisher and her products are amazingly AMAZING and gorgeous and glam and quite luxurious! I'd love to be described like that one day too but I'll keep dreaming... Anyhow, Gina decided to surprise The Hollywood Candy Girls with a fabulous Custom Candy Apothecary Jar that she personally personalized for us and BLINGED OUT! It's on it's way into our pretty little hands and we are so excited that we just made our juicy & delicious UPS Driver Gary a very special batch of double chocolate chunk & Reece's Peanut Butter Cookies to welcome him when he arrives! Just Check out the photo, how gorgeous right! Thank you Gina! When you hear a really loud scream in Miami, that just us and it means our package arrived! Thank you for thinking of us and we'll be sure to let the world know that we've been Embellished by Relish! So Cool Sista! Do Your Bling Thang!

8 Weeks Old & The Heiress To Our Candy Empire Is Kicking Some Candy A$$ & Taking Names...

Child Labor Laws??? That doesn't exist when you are the daughter of the Queen of Candy! Just look at our little, precious, delicious Bella "Candy Girl In Training". Just 8 weeks old and already learning the ropes.. Helping her crazy mommy & the girls with a weekend full of events. Ugh! I can't take this picture, I am such a proud mommy! She has 6 very proud Candy Girl aunties who love and adore her and spoil her rotten. Seriously... This kid so scored! She has no idea what is in store for her but one things for sure... It's all good!

And PS - We hope we make you chuckle with our silly little posts, they crack me up just typing them..

A Sappy Post About Being The Mother Of The Candy Princess... The Future Heiress Of Our Candy Empire!

I have to admit Motherhood has changed this Candy Girl in the most unimaginable ways! I am one of those people who live to work rather than work to live... Well let me tell you, this gorgeous little oompa loompa has forced me to change even though I still find myself obsessively worrying about what our next big event will be, what can we do to top ourselves, what's next on our to do list regarding total and complete candy & world domination etc... 

Today as I rocked her to sleep and didn't give up or pass her off to her daddy even though she was fussy and crying and agitated with me, I stared at her and just cried and thought... Young Lady, You have amazing hair and great skin, You are SO the next MILEY CYRUS! I'm joking... I actually just couldn't believe in the middle of the craziest year of our lives, our business exploding, amazing opportunities that continue to pour in and so much work, we had time to have a baby. Simply amazing! 

I can't believe I am admitting this but I kind of miss that giant beach ball belly and being pregnant also forces every human being on the planet to treat you like you are a 5 year old and they insist on doing everything and anything for you. I loved that and I'm so controlling and admit that I rarely let people help me or take care of me. It was nice to be taken care of... 

Anyhow, this rare & sappy post is simply to say, all the fears I had about motherhood and being a good mom dwindle more and more each day. She certainly gives me funny looks and sometimes I swear she's thinking " Could you please not embarrass me again today and please just for one day would you allow me to wear my hair without a massive sized bow in it you Candy Freak!" 

Ok- maybe she's not so harsh, but wouldn't it be so funny if a baby could actually look at her mother and say that? I'd pay money to see that! Anyhow, I have a feeling that she and I are going to be really good friends and she has now become the center of our universe and we welcome her along on our Candy Girl adventures... All I can say, stay tuned people, it's going to be a wildly fun ride.

Another Super Fun Summer Event for the Extraordinary staff at O.W.N - The Oprah Winfrey Network Los Angeles

Simply put,  it is truly a great privilege and tremendous honor to be working with the staff at OWN, The New Oprah Winfrey Network that will be launching on 1-1-11(We'll be watching). We have done a couple events this summer with this phenomenal group of kind & talented people and have loved every second of it. We are so thrilled when we are called upon to sweeten their days at OWN with our super fun & super yummy services. The latest and greatest event was a fun 20 ft long Vintage Circus Themed Snack Bar & Candy Station. We created a popcorn buffet with various flavors, cake- pops in chocolate, red velvet & lemon &  mini cupcake bites, a ton-o fun & nostalgic candy and topped it off with fresh cotton candy & circus peanuts! The staff was delighted and so much fun as always! We can't say enough about how special these events are for us. We look so forward to working with this awesome team and can't wait to see our friends at OWN again very soon!

Jen was married at the fabulous & super luxe Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes and wanted Sexy & Elegant Candy for her guests to devour. We wanted to incorporate lots of Kisses, Hershey's that is. Blinging out candy is fun and since we love to pretty-up things we added lots of crystals, shimmer & sparkle. Our lovely bride LOVED her candy and her guests simply said " It's too pretty to eat". We get that a lot! We wish this couple years and years of Sweet Wedded Bliss...

Holy Cow! The Candy Girls are So Going to Dubai to visit the Holy Land- CANDYLICIOUS! 10,000 Square Feet Of Candy Paradise

So... in our Master Plan, The Candy Girls will be opening their very own Candy Store some day soon on Hollywood Boulevard ( OK, We prefer Hollywood Boulevard but we're business minded too and this is prime retail space which = Major Dollars) with a giant Pink ,White & Sparkly swirly slide that guests must slide down in order to enter our Candy Mecca! ( We'll have doors & elevators too, so no need to worry if you're not into Giant Slides ;-). We live & breath all things candy and it's only natural that we also have the most fabulously fun candy shoppe that the worlds ever seen! Yes, we know it's a big investment but that's why you have investors, really cute & generous ones too.. duhhh. 

We are planning on visiting The Dubai Mall in the United Arab Emirates and taking a visit to CANDYLICIOUS! This is an awesome space with over 10,000 Square Feet of Candy Love. The only issue for most people here in the USA is that it's located in Dubai and that's not to most common family vacation destination for most. The photos alone are pretty fantastic and we are looking forward to creating our own Candy Holy Land here in Hollywood! This store serves as great inspiration but since we're so competitive and we admit it, we'll give these guys a run for their money.. I mean that in the nicest way too! Hey, competition is healthy and if you are anything like us, Competition makes us better and better at everything we do. Because the truth is, WE MUST WIN AT EVERYTHING!!!

More Baby News!!!- 9 Weeks to GO! Hurry Up And Get Here Little Baby Bella- Your Candy Girl Costumes are waiting for you!

So here it is.. Another Bump shot and I am trying to look as OK as possible. Always remember when you want to look a little less Large & In Charge & Pregnant, take the picture at a slight angle and hold that camera nice and high. My husband needs no help with pictures- he hasn't gained a pound and is Gorgeous- normally I appreciate his good genes but lately I've just been annoyed by them ;-) Do I need to say- I'm Kidding?

 

Chris & I are getting really excited about our Isabella! Our friends & family & clients are so funny and always give me a hard time for being all about business and sharing little of our personal lives with everyone. I am getting better... Doesn't really get more personal than this right? 

Can't wait for our Baby Candy Girl to get here! She's going to have her own page on the website and check out these candy baby costumes! She's going to look Insanely Cute and if you think I am waiting until Halloween to dress her up- Wrong! I'm going to have one of these bad boy costumes ready for her to wear home from the hospital..lol

Hey!!!! Hands Off Our Custom Candy Girl Aprons! We know they're 2 Die 4 Cute but you'll have to get your own! ;-)

I know soooooo cute! Our fabulous friend and the very Foxy Mrs. Michele Fox of Kitchen Couture ( www.kitchen-couture.com) created these fantastic Candy Girl Aprons for us and we have been wearing them all over town! People LOVE our cute aprons and everyone wants to either try them on or purchase them right off our backs at events! When I saw them, I died & was so appreciative! Michele and I met in the lobby of a hotel and I began trying these gorgeous aprons on instantly! I could care less that these business men were chatting nearby and staring at me thinking " What is that crazy girl doing" It's not like I was ripping my clothes off- I just couldn't wait to try them on!For those of you who know me personally, you know I have no shame and get overly excited about anything SOOO CUTE!  They look like sexy little dresses and have sparkly rhinestones and tons of details! Michele even made a Maternity version for me that Briana is wearing in the photos below ( the pink one). She made sure that I felt really cute even while pregnant! Michele made these custom candy girl aprons for a very special reason which I can't even mention! I know, I hate when people say stuff like that and keep you hanging but we are literally so excited and keeping our fingers, eyes and toes crossed daily! We are practicing patience since we know in the long run it's going to pay off in such a MAJOR way all our heads & lollipops will spin!

What's that song that is always played to ring in the New Year??? Auld Lang Syne! It' keeps playing in my head and makes me all weepy! I'm very nostalgic and simply so proud of what our team has accomplished this year! Wow O Wow!
